ÃÜÌÒAV and CTOT forge strategic partnership to shape the future of vehicle displays
- Specialized polycarbonate (PC) films successfully applied in vehicle display light guide plates
- Initial order of 20 tons for Makrofol? LM807
- Enhanced partnership to expand use of PC films in vehicle displays

During the ongoing 6th China International Import Expo, ÃÜÌÒAV and Changzhou Talent-display Optronics & Technology (CTOT) signed a strategic partnership aimed at advancing vehicle display technologies. The collaboration focuses on the enhanced application of specialized polycarbonate (PC) films to improve vehicle displays. Both companies are committed to jointly developing innovative products and technologies and will collaborate on their promotion to meet fast-evolving demands in human-vehicle interaction.
As automobile technology continues to progress in areas like integration, intelligence, electrification and data connectivity, the importance of displays as an interface for human-vehicle interaction is growing. Manufacturers not only need to ensure the reliability of these displays but offer flexibility in design to accommodate the rapid changes in new energy vehicles. In response, ÃÜÌÒAV has teamed up with CTOT, a leading manufacturer of backlight modules, to explore tangible solutions.
Since this year, the partnership has led to the release of Makrofol? LM807, a high-quality PC light guide plate material designed for vehicle displays. Made with optically graded materials and processed with precision, Makrofol? PC films demonstrate excellent optical and physical properties along with consistent quality. These features enable light guide plates to accommodate larger and thinner screens. This aligns with the growing trend for expansive displays in electric vehicles, thereby enriching user experiences in both intelligence and entertainment. An initial order of 20 tons of Makrofol? LM807 has been placed by CTOT.
Enhanced partnership
The latest strategic agreement will further consolidate the partnership between the two companies and expand their joint efforts into high-end industrial control displays. The goal is to provide display module manufacturers with high-performance, flexible, and efficient solutions.
During the signing ceremony, Dr. Caroline Wolff, head of Specialty Films in the Asia-Pacific region at ÃÜÌÒAV, said, ¡°ÃÜÌÒAV is committed to providing high-quality products and continually looks for the best application scenarios. Improving user experience remains a key focus of our efforts at Specialty Films. This partnership marks a comprehensive strategic collaboration in the field of vehicle displays, and we look forward to collaborating with like-minded companies such as CTOT to further industry development.¡±
Yao Bin, general manager of CTOT said, ¡°CTOT is dedicated to offering clients enhanced experiences and diverse choices. Our partnership with ÃÜÌÒAV stands as a model, encouraging the industry towards the adoption of innovative technologies. In collaboration with ÃÜÌÒAV, we aim to shape the future of vehicle displays.¡±
